Start-up on Divisional Influent of Highly Effective Anaerobic Baffled Reactor

A divisional influent anaerobic baffled reactor(ABR)was filled with stuffing and inoculated with activated sludge of the secondary settling tank for attached biofilm to culture anaerobic microorganism. The reactor with influent ratio of 4:3:2:1 in four compartments was compared with single influent of ABR on start-up. The reactor ran 15days under the conditions of HRT 8h and ORL 0.8kgCOD/m3·d,and then running parameter was modulated at a HRT of 4h. At the 23rd day,COD removal efficiency of divisional influent ABR was higher than that of single influent under the same conditions. Average removal efficiency of COD kept at 35% when reactor ran 60 days,which indicated that start-upon divisional influent ABR was successful.
