Fluorescence Spectrometry with L-Cysteine as a Prereducer

Method for determination of arsenic in raw coal by hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry with L-cysteine as a prereducer was developed. The influence factors such as instrument condition,hydride generation,concentration of L-cysteine were investigated,and interference experiment was carried out for concomitant elements. Results showed that a detection limit of 0.22μg/L and relative standard deviation of 0.87% were obtained. Method was validated by analysis of standard reference material (coal fly ash) with satisfactory results and was successfully applied to determination of total arsenic in raw coal with RSD less than 5.3%.
