Application of Wastewater from Boiler Water Softening Station in FGD

Properties of wastewater from boiler water softening station for desulfurization were investigated.Results showed that as a desulfurizer,desulfurizing ability of wastewater was very weak in spite of heavy concentration of Ca2+ and Mg2+.While used as an additive of sorbent CaO,proper addition of wastewater can improve both desulfurizing ability and utilization ratio of sorbent.It was shown that hygroscopicity of sorbent can be increased and pore structure of sorbent can be changed after wastewater was loaded,which will favor the reaction between CaO and SO2 as well as lead to increase of desulfurization efficiency and utilization ratio of sorbent.
