Numerical Simulation for Atmospheric Flow Filed and Pollutant Concentration Field in Different Spaces between Buildings

Atmospheric flow field and pollutant concentration field were simulated by using the modified k-ε turbulent model on the condition of different spaces between buildings. Simulation results showed that airflow was around buildings,with maximum speed of uplift up to 1.98m/s around the building when the speed of air flow of 3m/s. Turbulent kinetic energy were enhanced after buildings,and distribution region of pollutant was becoming larger. Air flow and distribution of pollutant concentration were affected by building layout. Characteristics of tail flow were obvious different on condition of various spaces between buildings,and the distribution of pollutant concentration was also different in tail flow region. Numerical simulation results have some guidance significance to study the distribution of air flow and pollutant behind the buildings.
