Experiment Study on Enhancing Treatment of Waste Gas Containing Toluene by Sodium Citrate Solution Absorbent

Influence of three different additives on treatment of waste gas with toluene using sodium citrate solution was studied in structured packing columns. Adding of citric acid,inorganic salt,polyethylene glycol (PEG200) and their combinations to sodium citrate solution to enhance absorption efficiency was studied under similar conditions respectively. Results showed that purification efficiency and absorption capacity of toluene significantly increased when 5% sodium citrate absorption liquid added citric acid which make pH 6,or inorganic salt 0.05% sodium silicate,0.1% sodium phosphate,0.1% sodium carbonate and 0.5% polyethylene glycol respectively. It will have a better result when additives used together.
