Experimental Study on Decoloration of Vat Dark Blue BO by Coagulation and Air-flotation

Some factors which affect the treatment of vat dark blue BO by coagulation and air-flotation were studied including pH,dosage of aluminum potassium of sulfate,dosage of sodium dodecyl sulfate and air-flotation time.The decoloration efficiency of coagulation-sedimentation and coagulation-air flotation were compared,results showed pH has the most effect on the treatment efficiency by coagulation air-flotation while the dosage of aluminum potassium of sulfate,dosage of sodium dodecyl sulfate and air-flotation time has certain effect on the treatment efficiency by coagulation and air-flotation.Under the conditions of pH 5.00,dosage of aluminum potassium sulfate 556mg/L,dosage of sodium dodecyl sulfate 20mg/L and air-flotation time 5min,removal efficiency of absorbance and color are 99.4% and 85.44% for vat dark blue BO by coagulation and air-flotation.Air-flotation has certain function for further removal of vat dark blue BO.
