Bioaccumulation and Physiological Response to Cadmium,Zinc and Copper Stress in Phytolacca acinosa

Chlorophyll content,superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity,biomass and heavy metal content of Phytolacca acinosa under the stress of Cd,Zn and Cu were measured with hydroponics.Results indicated that with the increasing content of Cd,Zn and Cu in the solution,chlorophyll content,SOD activity and biomass increased in lower concentration while decreased in higher concentration.Heavy metal content reached the maximum at the highest treatment,with heavy metal content in the root higher than that of stern and leaf.The maximum of heavy metal content in leaf was Cd 100.6mg/kg,Zn 2,753mg/kg and Cu 36.9mg/kg respectively.The accumulation of Zn by Phytolacca acinosa was close to the hyperaccumulator Sedum alfredii Hance,which provided a potential species for phytoremediation of Mn/Zn complex contaminated soils.
