Air Foamed Lightweight Soil with River Sludge and Its Engineering Properties

For the active utilization of river sludge in construction,it is possible to produce lightweight soil with air foam technology in view of high water content of river sludge. Based on laboratory test,the fundamental engineering properties of air foamed lightweight soil under various conditions were discussed,such as strength,deformation,permeability and durability of lightweight soil. Test results indicated that air foamed lightweight soil possesses the quality of strength and stiffness as general filled soils. The engineering properties of air foamed lightweight soil are related to additive amount of consolidation material and demonstrate low permeability. Quality of air foamed lightweight soil will be weakened with increase of dry and wet circulation. The study which will provide basis for active utilization of river sludge is helpful to facilitate utilization efficiency of river sludge as well as environmental protection.
