Effect of Carbon and Nitrogen Source on Properties of Hydrogen Production with Photosynthetic Bacteria Group

Phototrophic hydrogen was generated using photosynthetic bacteria group which was separated from garden soil. Influences of different combination and concentration of carbon and nitrogen sources on behaviors of hydrogen production of photosynthetic bacteria group were studied by intermittent cultivation. Experimental results showed that the optimal carbon and nitrogen source were glucose and ammonium oxalate. Under the best combination of glucose and sodium glutamate,the concentration of carbon source and nitrogen source was 3g/L and 1g/L respectively.
