Safety Protection Distance of Atmospheric Environmental Risk Assessment to Oil Depot

Concept of safety protection distance in atmospheric environmental risk assessment to oil depot was introduced. Taking a crude oil depot as an example,results showed that the safety protection distance was 500m out of the oil depot,and scope of safety protection distance along with scope of CO concentration exceeded the sort term exposure limit(STEL) after accident of 26666.9m was proposed to be managed,for the purpose to verify the feasibility of assessment procedure,method and practical significance of safety protection distance. Practice has proved that forecasting the consequence of oil depot fire and explosion accidents using proper models,which was selected by type of matter in oil depot,determining the area which was seriously affected by the accident,and setting the demand of safety protection distance combining atmospheric environment protection distance and health protection zone could provide recommendations for risk management of oil depot,and had certain practical significance for atmospheric environmental risk assessment and risk management to oil depot.
