Free Chlorine Decay Model in Bulk Water of Water Distribution Network Based on Main-affecting-factor Analysis

Decay of free residual chlorine in water distribution system was studied on the basis of a bench scale experiment with the emphasis on the main factors which affect disinfection including temperature,initial chlorine concentration and water quality.The orthogonal test conducted showed that temperature was the most important factor influencing chlorine decay and water quality came second.Meanwhile,a revised bulk water free chlorine decay model was developed through programming based on the orthogonal test,which was excellent in fitting to the experimental result.
