Influence Factors and Absorption Mechanism of Zn~(2+) by White-rot Fungi

Efficiencies,influence factors and absorption mechanism of Zn2+ adsorption by white rot fungi powder were investigated.Results showed that the process for adsorption of Zn2+ can be basically finished in 35 min,with suitable pH in range of 5~6,and adsorption rate of Zn2+ increased with increase of initial concentration of Zn2+.Under the optimal reaction conditions as initial concentration of Zn2+ 25 mg/L,adsorption dosage 2.5 g/L and pH value 5.5,the adsorption rate of Zn2+ was 98.01%.In comparison with the untreated fungus,the fungus treated with 0.8 mol/L NaOH solution,the adsorption rate of Zn2+ can increase about 10%.The fungus surface was characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and infrared spectroscopy,results indicated that the fungus surface was rough and porous.-OH,-PO4 and Zn2+ involved in complexation reactions in the process of Zn2+ adsorption by the fungus,with main products as Zn3(PO4)2 and Zn(OH)2.
