Quantitative Analysis of Coordination between Groundwater Environment and Socio-Economic Development

This paper described the method of minimizing deviation coefficient to establish a quantitative model for evaluation of the coordination between groundwater environment and socio-economic development in the Guanzhong Plain of Shannxi Province.Result of the evaluation revealed the coordination levels differed from the region to region within the Plain comprising Baoji,Xi'an,Xianyang and Weinan.Since groundwater is the key water resource for all of these regions in terms of both domestic and industrial use,proposals for increasing the carrying capacity,and for efficient utilization of groundwater,are put forward in the paper.
