Comparative Study on Different Types of Industrial Clusters Based on Emergy

At present,emergy theory and synthesis is a hot topic in ecological economics.It is considered as a bridge between ecology and economic field because emergy could be used as an uniform unit to evaluate different kinds of energy.Emergy theory and synthesis has been applied in complex and single system broadly during in the past thirty years.However,there is rare literature regarding comparative study on different types of industrial clusters applying emergy.This paper takes two different types of industrial clusters from Shenyang economic and technical area as a case to comparative study and analysis on their functional indicators through using emergy.Also,thisi article elaborated how to apply the emergy method in evaluating efficiency in different types of industrial clusters.Afterward,we advanced the suggestion that in an economical area only concerning economic benefit was not enough,but also considering the combination of saving reource and environmental protection.
