Study on the Human Health Risk Assessment of a Relocated Plating Base

At this work,a plating base has been taken as an example.Sampling monitoring program have been designed and exposure assessment,toxicity assessment,risk characterization soil remediation target values determination have been carried out by using the risk assessment models parameters in the Technical Guidelines for Risk Assessment of Contaminated Sites(draft reported for approval).The monitoring results showed that 6 kind heavy metals concentration have exceeded the start values of risk assessment,such as Cd,Cr(Ⅲ),Cr(Ⅵ),Cu,Ni Zn which will be listed as the contaminants of concern.Risk assessment results showed that the human health risk values of multiple exposure points have exceeded the acceptable risk level.The key pollution area is sewage treatment plant and the surrounding;moreover,the risk values of electroplating workshop and the surrounding have exceeded the standard too.It's recommended to implement effective management measures site soil on high risk areas,in order to protect human health.
