Character of Carbon Source in Denitrification and Phosphorus Removal System

In order to investigate the character of carbon source in denitrification and phosphorus removal process,using SBR process to domesticate denitrifying phosphate-accumulating organisms(DNPAOs),and the character of carbon source in denitrification and phosphorus removal system was studied under the condition of different carbon concentrations.The results show that denitrification and phosphorus removal system has a saturated carbon concentration in anaerobic phase.In this study,the saturated carbon concentration in anaerobic phase was 250 mg/L when MLSS was controlled at 3 000 mg/L.When the COD concentration added in anaerobic phase is lower than saturated carbon concentration,the higher COD concentration add in anaerobic phase,the better effect of TN and TP removal will get.When COD concentration added in anaerobic phase exceeds saturated carbon concentration,TN removal efficiency will further improve,but TP removal efficiency will be decreased,indicating that extracellular carbon in anoxic phase can improve TN removal capability,but inhibit TP removal capacity.When COD concentration added in anaerobic phase reaches the saturated carbon concentration,the carbon utilization efficiency of denitrification and the effect of TP removal in system will reach the highest,COD(m)/NO_3~-N(m) is about 3.3.
