Thermodynamic Analysis of Main Metals Reactions in Electroplating Sludge during Sodium Roasting

On the basis of analyzing the principle and process of heavy metal trapping agent capturing heavy metal ions in the electroplating wastewater,the forms of main metals in sludge and the chemical reactions of these metals during calcification process were speculated,the degree of various reactions was studied and the roasting conditions conducive to NaAlO_2,Na_2ZnO_2,Na_2CrO_4 were discussed with the help of the related thermodynamic calculation,and the experiments on soda roasting-water leaching were studied.Results show that aluminum,chromium,zinc in sludge are converted as maximum as possible into NaAlO_2,Na_2ZnO_2,Na_2CrO_4 by controlling roasting temperature,roasting atmosphere,addition amount of Na_2CO_3 and lime.Al,Cr,Zn in ash is separated from Cu,Ni,Fe during water leaching.The results could provide the theoretical and technical support for the control of actual calcification conditions and the choice of separation process of NaAlO_2,Na_2ZnO_2,Na_2CrO_4 from electroplating sludge.
