Development of the Anthropogenic Air Pollutants Emission Inventory in Jinhua

Based on the survey of the air pollution emission sources in Jinhua, an anthropogenic emission inventory of air pollutants in Jinhua City in 2013 has been developed using a "bottom-up" approach. Pollutants in this inventory involve SO_2,NO_x, CO, PM_(10), PM_(2.5),VOC and NH_3 and their anthropogenic emission categories cover power plants, industrial emission,vehicle emission, dust sources, VOC-related sources and other sources. Results show that emission amounts of SO_2, NO_x, CO,PM_(10), PM_(2.5), VOCs and NH_3 in Jinhua for the year of 2013 are 38.3 kt, 77.5 kt, 125.0 kt, 41.0 kt, 18.8 kt, 76.6 and 26.3 kt,respectively. Industrial category is one of the most important contributors to emissions of air pollutants in Jinhua. Industrial category contributed 67.31% of SO_2 emission, 34.42% of NO_xemission,30.39% of CO emission, 53.02% of PM_(10) emission, and50.95% of PM_(2.5) emission, respectively. Additionally, road mobile category also contributed greatly for emissions of major pollutants. It contributed 42.84% of NO_xemission, 34.13% of CO emission, 3.31% PM_(10) emission and 6.55% of PM_(2.5) emission,respectively. Pow plant category contributed 29.06% of SO_2 emission, 17.89% of NO_xemission, 9.73% of CO emission.Industrial solvents category contributed 32.65% of VOC emission. NH_3 emission was mainly contributed by the livestock feeding category, which contributed 66.57% of the total NH_3 emission. This emission inventory can provide important information for air quality management.
