Preparation of New Porous Cement-based Silicone Rubber Sound Absorption Material

Substation causes serious noise pollution(especially low-frequency noise) to the surrounding residents. This paper presented sound absorption layer used in substation to deal with the severe noise. The composite was mainly composed of wasted silicone rubber insulator and silicate cement. To determine the optimal material performance, the experiments were conducted and focused on two parameters:acoustic absorption coefficient and mechanical property. Through the test and performance analysis, the result showed the optimal mixture ratio of materials was silicate cement and wasted silicone rubber insulator as 3∶2, with the additions of EVA emulsion 5%, hydrogen peroxide 3%, MnO_2 0.2%. Through the test of acoustic performance, the acoustic absorption coefficient of the optimal composite sample reached 0.52, which can be used as sound absorption layer materials for solving the substation noise. Its application could not only solve the problem of waste silicone rubber insulator but also contribute to resource recycling.
