Recognition of Runoff Changes in Mining Area Based on SWAT Model

Recently the river runoff decreased obviously in Northern Shaanxi, especially in coal mining areas, and only few quantitative recognition research of influence factors has been done. This article takes the Kuye River as example, firstly established the reference periods(1960-1979) SWAT model; then introduces the recent periods(1999-2010) meteorological data and land use data into the model, quantitative calculated the influence of weather, conservation of water and soil. Finally according to the recent periods increment of industrial and living water, the influence of coal mining to Kuye River runoff was obtained. The results shows that compared with reference periods in Kuye River, the decrease water in recent periods is 21 987×10~4m~3 caused by weather, 6 560×10~4m~3 caused by conservation of water and soil, 17 850×10~4m~3 caused by coal mining. The results can provide important reference for Kuye River ecological restoration.
