Taylor's power law model is one of the most important tools for the study on population spatial patterns. Transforming the power function to provide a mathematical equivalent linear equation is a usual method for fitting Taylor's power law model, it is not a optimum fitting to the umtransformed function. In this paper, Genetic Algorithms is introduced for derterming the values of the parameters (a b ) of Taylor's power law model, which will give the mininlum least-square fit to a set of data. The comparision of present methods shows that the Genetic Algorithms is superior to the usual method in practice with its simplicity and precision.
