Experiment on Recessive Axillary Bud Grafting of the Main Shoots of Taxus chinensis var.mairei

Based on the research on shooting survival rate and formation rate of main shoot of Taxus chinensis var.mairei effected by different buds of different parts,scion buds with or without leaves and different grafting bands on the grafting bud formation,the results showed that with 3-year-old Taxus chinensis var.mairei used as rootstock grafting,the ″7″ bud grafting method used to graft buds of different parts,the recessive axillary buds of the main shoot with one leaf used as scion,and food preservation film used as grafting band,the earliness of scion could be promoted,the survival rate of the main shoot could be increased,and the main tip could be sprouted to form a complete coronal pattern.The grafting effect was relatively better.
