Experiment against Monochamus alternatus with 2% thiacloprid micro-capsule powder

In June 2010,we had adopted the method of using 2% Thiacloprid micro-capsule powder in the experiment against Monochamus alternatus, and the result displayed that after spraying 2% beauty and insect Lin microcapsule powder in the pinus massoniana forest,with the pesticide quantity of 6000g per hectare, after 14 days' powder feeding, the death rate of Longicorn adult had reached 100%.And when we cut down the quantity of pesticide to 3000g and 4500g per hectare,the death rate of Longicorn adult had become 21.67% and 43.89% respectively after 14 days' powder feeding. After spraying 6000g of 2% Thiacloprid micro-capsule powder in the forest,the quantities of bitten nidus in trap trees caused by Monochamus alternatus adults declined sharply,which had declined from 53.52 per square meter to 0.84 per square meter.
