Study on the Unconfined Compressive Strength of Rock Soil in the Collapsing Areas Improved by the Lime

Through the series of indoor unconfined compressive strength experiments,it was studied the change rules of unconfined compressive strength of the rock soils at different levels in the collapsing areas after the improvement of lime.The results show that,by adopting the response surface design optimization,the ash mixing rate,age and moisture content have reached the best ratio proportion.The percentages of the ash mixing rate,age and moisture content in the topsoil layer is 8.99%,28 d and 25% respectively,in the red soil layer is 8.98%,28 d and 25% respectively,in the variegated layer is 5.84%,18 d and 20% respectively,and in the clastic layer is 6.58%,28 d and 23% respectively.The result has the guiding and practicing meaning to the use of lime in the improvement of rock soil in the collapsing areas so as to increase the strength and stability of the rock soil.
