The Relationship between Distribution Pattern and Environmental Factors of the Slope Arable Land in the Mountainous Areas of Western Part of Hubei Province

Based on Arc GIS and canonical correspond analysis,it was studied the land use pattern in the mountainous areas of western part of Hubei Province,especially focusing on the relationship between slope arable land distribution pattern and environmental factors. The results show that different environmental factors have the obvious differences in the impact to the different arable land use types. The main factors having the important impact to the land use and arable land pattern are population density and slope,respectively. The analysis on the relationship between land use and arable land types and environmental factors,especially the main factors having the important impact to the slope arable land in the mountainous areas of western part of Hubei Province,will provide the reference for the optimism of the land use pattern and the adjustment of the agriculture structure.
