Preparation of SuspendedAttapulgite Carrier and ItsApplications to Water Treatment

Suspended attapulgite carrier was produced from attapulgite,coal powder and polyethylene foam,and applicated to treat low concentration organic wastewater in three phase fluidized bedreactor.Effect of temperature on pattern,instension,specific surface area of attapulgite carrier was studied,and effect of hydraulic retention time(HRT) and aeration amount on NH4+-N and chemistry oxygen demand(COD) disposal was studied.The result showed that when the roasting temperature was at 800 ℃,the carrier instention was 91 N,the specific surface area was 32.16 m2/g,the surface is rough,the taperture is much,physics and chemistry Performance is fine.When aeration amount was 0.25 m3/h,the maximum COD and NH4+-N value decrease rate was 92.7% and 95.4%.When HRT was 2 h,the maximum COD and NH4+-N value decrease rate was 91.5% and 93.4%.
