YAO Xu-feng (Humanties College,Shanghai Transportation University,Shanghai 200030,China)
In this paper, drama culture of the late Ming Dynasty is reviewed from an especial point. This paper discloses the relationship between the great developing of garden dram and political environment in the late Ming Dynasty.A lot of intelligentsias in Jiang Nan region, who were disappointed in the politics of the last phase of Ming Dynasty, finally chose arts instead of politics and prefer garden to yamun. They resigned from their positions for a peaceful garden life and plunged into the garden drama. The garden drama is not only the trend of that age,but also the disease of that age.
