INFLUENCES OF CARBON, SILICON AND ALUMINIUM ON REACTION ON SURFACE OF AUSTENITE STAINLESS STEEL POWDER DURING SINTERING

Wu Yikun (Chongqing Steel and Iron Research Institute, Chongqing 630025, China) Lai Heyi , Liu Chuanxi, Dong Yi (Beijing University of Technology, Beijing 100083, China)
Influences of carbon, silicon and aluminium on the surface reaction of austenite stainless steel powder during sintering have been studied. It has been found that the morphology and distribution of products from surface reaction depend upon the reducing behaviour of alloying elements which influence the mechanical properties of sintered materials directly.
