Preparation and applications of MoSi_2 materials

MoSi2 is one of the important high temperature heating element materials and structural materials for aerospace application.Several preparation methods were compared and studied,such as mechanical alloying,self-propagating high-temperature synthesis,hot isostatic pressing,solid state displacement reaction and in-situ reaction synthesis.The results of research show that in order to realize industrialization of MoSi2 materials,preparation technology of in-situ reaction hot-pressing should be adopted.The status of industrial application of MoSi2 and it's composites was reviewed.The direction of research and development for future was put forward.
