TiNi SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY (SMA) BY COMBUSTION SYNTHESIS AND ITS PROPERTIES

The properties of TiNi shape memory alloy manufactured from element powder by combustion synthesis technology have been outlined. The TiNi alloy ingots possess structure as-cast with single TiNi phase, accurate composition, high purity, high density and good cold and hot working plasticity.The mechanical and shape memory properties of the materials finally processed can be compered with or even better than those of commercial materials of the same kinds.
