Police Intervention in Determining Civil Cases of Domestic Violence:Regarding Minor Domestic Violence by Police First Judgment

LI Qiong-yu;HE Xu-xi;School of Law,Hunan Normal University;
When it is difficult to determine the legality of a civil judgment of domestic violence,the police are often called to provide supplementary information. Compared with the determination of the liabilities in road traffic accidents,police should be also called to provide the first judgment in dealing with the minor family violence cases. The purpose of this system is to improve the ability of the victims of domestic violence to raise evidence and reduce the burden of proof on the court. The police first judgment system should be linked to domestic violence warning system as part of the design of a support system.
