New Features of Literature by New Immigrants Based on Lin Mei's Novels

LIN Dan-ya;WANG Jing-qi;Department of Chinese Language and Literature,Xiamen University;
From a sublimation of the themes of‘Nora Leaving'and‘identity'in Looking at the Sky,to the question of body/spirit and religious and philosophical mediation in Beyond the Sky,Lin Mei created these two novels in ten years. They not only convey the author's ultimate concern for humanity,symbolizing changes in her writing,but also represent new features of literature by immigrants who write differently from Taiwan overseas students' literature in the 1960 s. They have provided new ideas and aesthetic dimensions for Chinese literature in the world.
