Effects of AMF on Plant Growth and Uptake of N and P in Container Seedlings of Poncirus trifoliata with Different Culture Substrates

In order to screen the combination of AMF species and culture substrates suitable for the growth of trifoliate rootstocks,and to promote the application of AMF in the production of container seedlings of citrus rootstocks,the effects of AMF and culture substrates on the plant growth and uptake of N and P in Poncirus trifoliata,the container seedlings inoculated with four AMF(Glomus mosseae,G.versiforme,G.geosporum and G.diaphanum)in three culture substrates(humus soil,bran and fungus compost)in greenhouse were studied.The results showed that infection rate of natural inoculation was less than 40%and that of artificial inoculation could be 80%.The infection rate of mixed AMF inoculation was higher than that of the single inoculation.The highest infection rate occurred when Poncirus trifoliata were inoculated with GV(Glomus versiforme)in the humus or bran,which was 80.7%and 78.7%,respectively.The combination of GV and bran was the most effective on growth of Poncirus trifoliata seedlings with increased biomass by 278%than that of CK with mycorrhizal dependency of 342.4%.It was also the most effective on uptake of N and P in Poncirus trifoliata seedlings with increased total N uptake by 482%than that of CK.The combination of GV and humus soil was the most effective on uptake of P with increased total P uptake by 553.8%than CK.The most effective combination promoting the plant growth of Poncirus trifoliata container seedlings was GV and bran.
