An endophytic fungus(M1)isolated from leaves of Jatropha curcas by tissue isolation method in a high frequency was morphologically classified as Penicillium fellutanum. The antibacterial activities against Cytospora mandushurica,Botryosphaeia ribis and walnut Botryosphaeria dothidea were tested by dual culture technique. The result showed that M1had antibacterial activities to all tested fruit tree pathogens, and the inhibition index reached grade II,and caused discoloration and necrosis to the colony of Cytospora mandushurica. The study showed that endophytic fungi Penicillium fellutanumfromJatropha curcas had immense potential to serve as a biocontrol agent.
