To clarify the pathogen of blueberry leaf spot in Guangxi, morphological characteristics of pathogen including conidiogenous cells, conidia's color, size and appendages, and molecular characteristics of the pathogen were observed by isolation, purification, and its pathogenicity test. The results showed that this pathogen caused brown spot on blueberry leaves, with dark brown aureola and developed black acervuli during the late stage. The colony of this pathogen was white with ivory to pale yellowish back.Conidiogenous cells were hyaline and clavated.Conidia were(21.5~25.8)μm×(5.5~7.5)μm,and three median cells were concolourous and olivaceous with two to three apical appendages of 11.4~21.6μm.This pathogen was identified as Pestalotiopsis trachicarpicola combined with ITS sequence for phylogenetic analysis. It is the first report of this pathogen responsible for blueberry leaf spot in China.
