Development of PMS -800 At mospheric Particulate Sampler

Atmospheric particulate sampler is one of important equipment for monitoring the radionuclides for Comprehensive Nuclear-test Ban Treaty(CTBT).PMS-800 high-volume atmospheric particulate sampler was developed according to the condition of the radionuclide laboratory.PMS-800 consists of indoor part and outdoor part.A variable frequency technique was used to control the flowrate.The controlling software can control sampling process;it also can collect and analyze data.Polypropylene filter was used as collection substrate.The performance of the sampler was evaluated,and the results showed that the maximum flowrate of the sampler was over 800 m3·h-1,and the uncertainty of the flowrate is less than 5%.The flowrate was stable in ±5% while sampling.PMS-800 can run down automatically for protecting the machine when the load is 20 kPa.The collection efficiency of the filter for 0.2 μm aerosol was 82.5%.It can save the system parameters every 10-minute.PMS-800 meet the specifications of CTBT.
