Investigation of Indoor Radon Concentration in Chengdu

Xu Lipeng,Ge Liangquan,Zeng Bing,Gu Yi,Jiang Haijing,Luo Yaoyao,Xiong Chao(College of Nuclear Technology & Automation Engineering,Chengdu University of Technology,Chengdu 610059)  
Solid state nuclear track method was used to measure indoor radon concentrations in 100 rooms of different construction structures,decoration materials and floors in Chengdu.The results showed that the highest level of indoor radon concentration in Chengdu is 177.1 Bq/m 3,the lowest level is 8.4 Bq/m 3,and the average level is(39.4 ± 22.9) Bq/m 3;Statistical analyses showed that the differences of indoor radon concentration among different types of building were significant;Radon and his daughter's annual effective dose to shine is 0.99 mSv,lower than world average.
