An Empirical Research on Task-Based Language Assessment in English Formative Assessment

The author designs and practices task-based language assessment in formative assessment of English.The students in experimental class take task-based language assessment and finish related questionnaires and interviews in the period of one-term formative assessment. The students in control class take traditional formative assessment. The research demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of putting TBLA into English formative assessment and proofs what kinds of tasks, task difficulty and assessment criteria can be suitable for evaluating students ' integrative skills in formative assessment.
