Objective:To evaluate the application, imaging techniques and findings of spiral CT angiography(SCTA) and CT virtual endoscopy(CTVE) in coarctation and interruption of aorta. Methods:Three patients with aortic coarctation and interruption of aortic arch were performed spiral CT volumetric scanning with administration of contrast agent.Three dimensional images were reconstructed based on the source data, and resultant reconstructed CTVE were obtained. All of the patients were confirmed by surgery and conventional angiography. Results:SCTA clearly demonstrated the detailed anatomical information of vasculature in mediastinum,by which the aortic coarctation and interruption of aortic arch could be diagnosed and classified on SCTA combined with CTVE.Conclusion:Being a non invasive angiographic technique,SCTA and CTVE are valuable for the diagnosis of the aortic coarctation and interruption of aortic arch.
