Synthesis and Characterization of La_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_3 Powder

La_(1-x)Sr_xCo_(1-y)Fe_yO_3 perovskite-type composite oxides are won- derful electronic-ionic conductor,which makes them be potential cath- ode materials for ITSOFC.La_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_3(LSCF) powder was syn- thesized by EDTA-citric acid method.The synthesis of the per- ovskite-type cathode materials and their mechanisms of doping were discussed besides chemical compatibility with YSZ electrolyte at high temperatures in oxidation atmosphere,by means of DTA/TG,X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The re- sults were as follows:free powder of LSCF with an average particle size of~40nm was prepared by EDTA-citric acid method.The optimum cal- cining temperature was 800℃.After doping,the LSCF phase remained rhombohedral structure.When the operation temperature of SOFC was below 800℃,LSCF worked fine with YSZ electrolyte.
