Coarse-grained CoO Prepared With Cobalt Oxalate Through Circulatory Oxidization-Reduction Method

The CoO particles were prepared with cobalt oxalate dihydrate by heat decomposition in air,then the cobalt particles were obtained with CoO through deoxidation in the hydrogen gas(high purity,dew point below -40 ℃).The cobalt particles were oxidized in air,and CoO particles were reduced into cobalt particles in the hydrogen gas again.The samples were characterized with the laser particle size distribution measuring instrument and the electron probe scan instrument.The results showed that the medium-sized CoO particles were obtained through the twice circulatory oxidation and the twice reduction.The volume fraction of the particle size distribution of coarse-grained CoO particles was 77.10% in size of 9~21 μm.
