The Estimation of Bioconcentration Factor of Polyaromatic Hydrocarbon by Gas Chromatography

A new method for estimating bioconcentration factor (BCF) of polyaromatic hydrocarbon (naphthalene, biphenyl, β-methyl-naphthalene, 2, 7-dimethyl-naphthalene, 2, 3-dimethyl-naphthalene, acenaphthene and phenanthrene) in grass carp is discussed. The chromatographic parameter of Vg(r), relative specific retention volume, is used to estimate BCF in grass carp. It is not only established the monedic recession equation (Type 1 Eq. ) of BCF and Vg(r) but also the binary regnssion equation (Type 11 Eq. ) of BCF, Vg(r) and 1 X on stationary phases of sir kinds of different polarity. Statistical examination shows that the significant correlation is present for hath regression equations. The correlation of equations is not affected by the polarity of the stationary phases.
