Attachment of Deoxyribonucleic Acid to Glass Supports and Its Detection by Chemiluminescence

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was immobilized directly on the surfaces of glass supperts using silane coupling agent, then hybridized it with horseradish peroxidase-labeled probe and detected by enhanced chemiluminescence. The detection limit of the projposed method is 75 pg. Several experimental conditions of DNA attached to glass supports and the hybridization procedure of nucleic acid were investigated.These will offer the basis for the research of fiber-optic DNA biosensor.
