A Salbutamol Sensor Based on Carbon Nanotubes Modified Electrode and Molecularly Imprinted Polymers

A novel amperometric sensor based on electropolymerized molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) for salbutamol detection is reported.The poly(o-phenylenediamine)(POPD) film was prepared by the cyclic voltammetric deposition of o-phenylenediamine(OPD) with and without a template molecule,salbutamol,on the single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs) modified electrodes.Template can be quickly removed by electrochemical method.The performance of the imprinted and non-imprinted(NIP) films was evaluated by liner sweep voltammetry(LSV) in the presence of a supporting electrolyte.A linear amperometric response of salbutamol was obtained within the concentration range of 7.94×10-8-1.36×10-5 mol/L with a detection limit of 6.08×10-8 mol/L.The sensor was successfully applied to the determination of salbutamol in pork meat with a recovery rates between 92.1%-113%.
