Investigation on the Electrochemical Behaviour of 6-Mercaptopurine-Cadium(Ⅱ) Complex

in 0.025mol/L Na_2HPO_4-NaH_2PO_4(pH6.7)medium, the complex of cadmium (Ⅱ)-6-mercaptopurine can produce a sensitive cathodic wave at -0.82V (vs SCE). The height of second-or- der derivative wave is linear with the concentration of 6-mercaptoputine over the range of 8×10~-7to 5×10~-5mol/L, and the detection limit is 1.0×10~-7mol/L. Addition of surfactant such as Triton X- 100 can enhance the sensitivity. The method has been developed for the determination of 6-mercap-topurine in medicine. in this paper, the characteristics of the wave have been studied.
