Determination of Trace Sulfide In Atmosphhere and Water by Derivative Oscillopolarography

This paper reportes determination of trace sulfide In atmosphere and water by derivative os- cillopolarography. A sensitive derivative peak current is obtained in a system of 0.032mol/L EDTA-0.10mol/L sodium hydroxide-0.04mol/L ascorbic acid. The peak potential is at -0.70V(Vs.SCE). There is linear relationship betweeb the peak current and concentration of sulfide In the rang of 9.38×10~-9—5.16×10~-4mol/L. The Detection limit is 3.12×10~9mol/L. The result for the determi nation of trace sulfide In atmosphere and water is satisfactory. The mechanism of electrode process and current property has also been discussed.
