Long-range Electron Transfer Through DNA Helix

ZHANG Zhi Ling, PANG Dai Wen * (Department of Chemistry, Wuhan University, Wuhan, 430072)  
Two kinds of controversial conclusion — “molecular wire” and “protein like” of long range electron transfer property of DNA are suggested. The theorists also can't get the same conclusion. Some kinds of experimental systems and methods are applied in this area. In this article, recent advances in the studies of DNA long range electron transfer are reviewed.
