A Study on the Determination of Mn(Ⅱ) with Solvent Flotation Ternary Complex Spectrophotometry

This article introduces a new solvent flotation spectrophotometry for the determination of Mn (Ⅱ) with ternary complex of Mn (Ⅱ)-Phen-TIF flotation in benzene by N 2. Its principle is that Mn (Ⅱ) can react with Phen to form [Mn(Phen) 3] 2+ in alkali condition (pH=9.5), and then [Mn(Phen) 3] 2+ reacts with TIF to form stable associate in organic solvent benzene. The method shows high sensitivity (ε=9.6×10 5 L·mol -1·cm -1) . The practical determination results of Mn (Ⅱ) in natural water and alcohol are satisfactory.
