Determination of Kalamycin (Kalamycin Sulfate for Injection) by First-Derivative Stripping Square Wave Voltammetry

The electrochemical behavior of kalamycin has been studied in mercury film electrode, and an electrochemical method for the determination of kalamycin was established. In a buffer solution of HAc-NaAc (pH 4.7), Hg 2+-kalamycin complex produced a reduction peak at 0.126 V (vs. SCE). There was a good linear relationship within the range of 0.02~1.5 mg·mL -1(r=0.992). The method was rapid, simple and accurate, and used for the determination of kalamycin.
