Electrodeposition of Cu_2O and Its Application in Nonenzymatic Glucose Sensor

Cu_2O was prepared on the surface of GCE using electrodeposition.The obtained samples were characterized by XRD and SEM to study the microstructure and morphology.The electrocatalytic property of Cu2 O for glucose electrooxidation was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometric characterizations.The results indicate that the modified electrode exhibits an excellent electrocatalytic activity,and a wide linear range for glucose concentration from 5.0μmol/L to 6.23mmol/L was obtained with a detection limit of 0.4μmol/L(S/N=3).The sensor had good reproducibility and stability,and was used to analyze blood serum sample with satisfactory results.
